Techweek Kanasas City opens today (Monday) – beginning a week-long technology conference and festival in Downtown KC.

Techweek Kansas City has arrived! Today marks the pre-conference opening of a week-long run of the first, annual Techweek conference + festival in Downtown KC.

Techweek KC will feature its signature technology conference and speakers (Wed-Fri) , the LaunchKC startup grants competition (Thu-Fri), basecamp at the Sprint Accelerator (Monday and every day), tech business tours (Tuesday), hiring fair (Wednesday), business expo (Thu-Fri), fashion show, receptions and parties (nightly), concerts (Fri and Sat.), and a hackathon (next weekend) spread out to feature Downtown destinations including Union Station, the Power & Light District and the Crossroads Arts District.

Here is what’s on tap for today on the Techweek KC schedule for Techweek attendees:

  • 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Basecamp: co-working space at Sprint Accelerator
  • 5-6:30 p.m. Entrepreneur Hall of Fame tour at the Bloch Executive Hall for Entrepreneurship and Innovation on the UMKC Campus. RSVP here.
  • 7-10 p.m. Techweek Official Kickoff Party at Boulevard Brewery. RSVP here.
